"Every inch of the house was put to use - pool tournaments, hot tub relaxation, family meals for twelve (all at the same table), space and toys for the four and five year olds to play, and large bedrooms where the porta crib easily fit for the 5 month old. One of our highlights was when the living room was transformed into a theater for the family talent show. The house is beautiful without being too fancy to enjoy. We hope to return to experience it again."

"We had several glimpses at twin baby fawns and their mother from the lavish picture windows. The binoculars were a welcome touch. The kids tried to count the spots on the cute little babies! The laundry chute was a big winner with the 9, 5, and 3 year olds. They had grand fun running from one floor to the other trying to outrun gravity. I especially enjoyed the aura of old elegance and loved the real dishes and dishwasher! Our 16 year old daughter regaled us with the music of the stately old grand piano. Thank you for sharing this lovely old house."

-The Matson family
Battleground

"The house is beautiful and a perfect place for family gatherings! We all enjoyed the large living room and the downstairs area for the 'rowdy' guys. What a wonderful 'homey' feeling this house has. The caretakers were wonderful and very accommodating."

-The Kornish family
Port Orchard

"Three brothers, their families, and their parents spent a wonderful week here. We enjoyed each others company and the togetherness in a way we never could have at some hotel or other place. The kids (big and small) built sand castles, flew kites, fed the mosquitos, and made wonderful music. A fabulously-equipped kitchen made the weeks meals a pleasure to prepare and eat."

-The Horner family
Richland

"We had such a surprise when we opened the door to this grand old house. It was as if we'd stepped into the Victorian era - lavish wallpaper, oriental rugs, and antique furniture that spoke of faraway places."

-The Nichols family

What a wonderful, beautiful place!  We love the accommodations and you have thought of everything we could possibly need.

This is the first time our combined family has rented “a house at the beach”…What an awesome place to start!  You thought of everything… (Wish I would have asked ahead of time about toddler/baby equipment…could have left half our load at home!)

We had 4 generations here, from 6 months to 81 years and everyone enjoyed their time away from “the world outside”!  I’ll see what is open this summer and we’ll be back soon!

Thank You for letting us stay at your Mansion!

Family Reunion.  For us vacation means “the beach”-and so we keep coming to reconnect with our ancestors-our “Family Ghosts”.

Cecilia + Pat bought “Rose Cottage” in Long Beach in 1905 or so.  They brought their kids Theresa & Will.  Theresa married Oliver Breeze, and had Herman.  Herman married Helen and brought their daughter Helenmarie.  Helenmarie  and husband, Jack Clynch introduced their kids-Cecelia, Fae, Molly, John & Claudia.  They’ve came and brought significant others and children (5 of them).  We have had good lodgings thru the years.  But Bloomer House is the best!!

This time there were 14 of us- ages 76 thru 4-and all of us found something special to enjoy here.  We’ll be back!

Thanks to all who make this beautiful experience available!

Sincerely 3 generations!

Had a ball!!  Sixteenth  Annual “ Girls Weekend”.  The kitchen is better equipped than most of our personal homes!

Ten long time friends found the space to gather together and to have solitary moments and peace.

We have treasured our time here and will leave with fabulous memories of our gatherings at the Bloomer Mansion and of Long Beach Peninsula.  Residing from Camino Islands, Redmond, Paulsbo, Beaverton, Columbia City, Lake Oswego, and Eugene OR.  We take the memories of another time of rejuvenation, love, sorrow, laughter, hope, joys especially of sisterhood!

We love all the time together every year, from our various locations and walks of life.

This has been a challenging time for some of us and being together in this wonderful space has been perfect!  Thank You!!

Had a terrific time here celebrating Birthday Party of Norine (90th) Larry (60th)Nicole (30th) and baby Nolan (1year).

The treasure of it all was that its being together and “well”-we had Stu with Nicole from The Yukon-baby Jeremy and Christina from Calgary-Laurette and Jerry from Port Townsend.  Thelma from Calgary Larry and Joyce from Victoria BC and myself from Victoria (Norine)-We planned to be tighter in 4 cars- that was all we needed.

Thank you so much,

We had such a wonderful time during our stay here.  We always come down to Long Beach for the Annual Rod Run weekend and it is always difficult to find a house big enough to sleep all of us comfortably.  But you did it!!

We loved all the touches, and thoughts as to what we as guests could possibly need.  I think we found and used each and every one of them.

While walking through the house during our annual Chili feed up to 20, the entire house was beaming with laughter and memories.  I ‘m sure we weren’t the only ones that have shared a similar experience with their loved ones.

Thank you so so much for opening this beautiful house up to families to share the great heritage and all of the antiques.  It was great to take a step back in time.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

The Hutchinson-Dougla-Macuk-Conlin Clan gathered once again for a week of beach walks, bike rides, watching movies, fabulous meals, and visits to the Humane Society.  It’s been a wonderful week in this very special house!  We have celebrated birthdays, an anniversary, and several other milestone transitions within the family.  The house has provided an extraordinarily warm & comfortable environment for all of us and we are grateful for it!

The addition of Rock Band was an addictive hit with the kids- I hope the backdrop of thumping bass for numerous hours wasn’t too disruptive!

Thank you again for the cookies on arrival-the perfect start to a perfect week!  See you again next year!

Boardman Reunion:

Really enjoyed ourselves.  Had massive fires in the pit and cooked smores and hot dogs.  Play big game of washers and waffles ball tourney in the yard.  Long Beach, WA surprised us all in how fun it can be.  Not much you did not think of for amenities.  Maybe better flashlights, but that’s about it.   Great memories here.  Thank You!!

This was a gift for my children and grandchildren and this was the most amazing vacation to date.  The cookies were a welcoming treat.  We totally filled our days with visiting the lighthouses, swimming, kite flying and some of us actually learned to surf.  Made short trip to Astoria to the sea lions, Maritime Museum and got a special treat seeing the Coast Guard doing training recovering a dummy from a helicopter.  What a special place with a million great memories.

What a wonderful time we had celebrating my 50th birthday!  This beautiful Mansion is such a great place for a large group.  A mom, sisters, niece and a new baby on the way.  Time goes by way too quickly-if we could only figure out a way to slow it down.  We’ll definitely get together here again!

Andrew loves the caterpillar he found and wants to see it turn into a butterfly.  He is 6.  Connar loved staying here and doesn’t want to go home.  It’s a Huge House!  He is 9.  Annike loved the dollhouse and the toy closet!  She is 2 ½.  Amy, Dan, Josh and Leith all came to visit.  They live in Naselle.  Grandma Lois loved being with all the kids and wiggling her toes in the sand on the beach.  We flew kites and everyone saw a bald Eagle.

Kelda kept us all well fed and busy!  It was a great time!

Doug and Jeanie came for dinner from Warrington.  Jeanie could really play the wonderful old piano.

Lots of fun, a great spring break.  Thank you!!  Thank you!!   Loved the cookies J

Fantastic weekend with the boys.  We celebrated Grandma  Wanda’s 76th birthday, learned how to leap off sand dunes cliffs.  (Benjamin broke the world record for 6 year olds and Nolan broke the 4 year old’s record ) ,played foosball with Patsy, dinner with Mike and Jeanette, and more fun than ever.

We also told stories until late into the night, visited Grampa Ray, got up early every morning and had a family walk ( Rae Ann, Mom, Tim, Robbie, Benjamin, & Nolan ) on the boardwalk.
